A Panniculectomy is an excision of redundant skin that hangs below the belt. This is not an abdominoplasty. There is no tightening of the muscles and there is no flap raised to the ribs.

A Panniculectomy is sometimes covered by insurance when abdominoplasty will never be covered by insurance.
